PROF. EELCO DE KONING’S RESEARCH GROUP HAS BEEN GRANTED 1.2 MILLION EUROS FOR TWO HORIZON 2020-PROJECTS ON STEM CELL PRODUCTS

Professor Eelco de Koning’s research group of the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) has been granted 1,2 million euros for two Horizon 2020-projects:

 

    • The ISLET-project, coordinated by Professor Henrik Semb from the Center for Stem Cell Research and Developmental Biology (DanStem) has been granted 8 million euros to develop stem cell products for treatment of diabetes
    • The ESPACE consortium is part of Human Cell Atlas efforts to build the first version of human pancreas cell atlas. Professor Eelco de Koning’s research group has much experience in studying human islet cells and has extensively published
